    Park Issues:

RA disclosed that the proposed park cuts were passed and well supported by WCBC. A final meeting in February will confirm this. As a result we may need to change the way in which we provide events and the days in which our volunteer work parties provide clean-up and gardening sessions.

Our summer event will go ahead as all such seasonal events are linked to the Seasonal Ranger who is already funded by Acton Community Council.

The Easter Egg Hunt has already been confirmed so will go ahead as planned.

Acton Park has once again been entered for Green Flag status.

CC stated that she is disappointed in the support from two of our local councillors with regard to proposed cuts. We are all pleased that Acton Community Council has agreed to pay towards the refurbishment of the Japanese Garden which is desperately needed.

The Friends group have also donated a new tree which should be planted soon and local volunteer Russell has donated a memorial tree and plaque in his mother’s memory.

    Meeting closed.
